The project pilot entitled ECFVET in Food (European Common Framework for Vocational Education and Training in Food) aims at defining measures and tools to describe and compare qualifications and skills in the food & beverage field with the objective of promoting a coherent development on EU scale.
The project will elaborate a proposal of a common European framework for the qualifications in the field of VET, obtained through the transnational cooperation.´
This reference framework consists of a coherent and coordinated system of standards whose beneficiaries are all people interested in acquiring qualifications and skills in the specific sector and whose users are subjects dealing with competences, whether in supply and demand job field.
The project answer to food and beverage sector requirements to update the comprehension of its own mission and have a set of coordinated standards (as explicit and shared reference points), to improve the ability in finding out the training needs and proposing a set of learning methodologies and tools (updated and suitable), ensuring transparency, reading and recognizing the learning outcomes.
These requirements of food and beverage sector have been find out by the promoter and project’ s partners within their own regional fields since the phase of proposal devising.
